would you pick Gotoh or Schaller tuners?

need to replace my Geddy tuners, I wanted the hipshot HB2 but have access to either the Gotoh or Schaller locally now.

gotoh:

schaller:

anyone familiar with either of these? is one better than the other or can I just go with the cheaper one (gotoh)?

thanks!

What's the problem you're trying to solve? That might help with an answer. I've not seen Fender tuners go bad, so not sure what you're trying to fix.

my geddy had been through a fire, the fire was actually in an adjoining paint store and the chemical smoke and all the soot rusted and permanently tarnished everything metal. Not going for the relic look on this one and just want nice shiny new tuners.

I'm sure either would work fine so just go with the less expensive option.

Gotohs are great. And ****, they are just tuners. I think 115 bucks is way too much.

I put 28:1 Gotoh's (from Warmoth) on my American Standard P and re-nekked (Warmoth) Jazz...
