| on a Yamaha RBX, the nut doesn't sit in a slot, but rather sits on the end of your fingerboard...at any rate, the procedure is the same...
take the broken nut out with a pair of flat plyers...(a slight rocking motion may be needed).
get a new nut...best to make one (groove it to proper depth), but a pre-made nut from a place like Carvin will work...
"dry fit" the nut to check the string groove depths.
once nut is right, a small dab of PVA (white glue) is all I use..
I think that the Carvin nut should be the same width as the RBX...but I'd measure to be sure... |
