I did just send a similar question to Yamaha but would like to get some input from TB.
I just picked up a Yamaha BB415 used and have to say I was very impressed with it for the time I got to play. When I took off the strings to clean off the fretboard a bit I tried putting the original strings on but for some reason it seems now that the strings all across the fretboard just are too low to even vibrate. Even with raising the bridges to high extremes it's barely clearing the frets.
Now I did put some lemon oil on the rosewood and I think I left it for almost 20 minutes while doing something else with no strings. I'm thinking just a truss rod adjust and some relief will sort things out. I can't seem to find an hex wrench that fits though, 3/16 seems to be just a tad bit too small. Thank you!
