I have a Yamaha TRB1006 that I rarely play. I've considered selling it, but don't really want to because it's signed by Marcus Miller and Billy Sheehan. I just thought of a grand idea. Maybe I could get a fretless neck for it. Anybody know if it's possible to get a fretless neck for it? I don't want to defret the neck that's on there. Fretless Neck or Sell? And if fretless, where and what?

They offered the 5-string TRB in a fretless, but not the 6-string. Why don't you want to defret it? If it's done right it won't hurt the value any.

In case I want to go back to fretted. If it were a cheaper 6-string, then I'd defret it, but not this one.

Well what you can do is measure the width of the neck, then find another companies neck that has the same or larger width (at the joint). Thats what a friend of mine did with his peavy 6er.

I think you would have to either get one on ebay or something, or get it custom done
