I was wondering if anyone knows of drop in replacement tuners for a Yamaha BB200. Mine are wearing out and are a little loose. They have a strange 3 hole pattern I haven't seen anywhere else. Is my only option to drill a couple of new holes? Thanks.

Hopefully the set won't be more than 50 or 60 bucks, if it's that much I'll probably just go with some hipshots. |

Hi -have you contacted the yamaha parts dept to check on availibility of the original parts -?--714-522-9011 and transfer to parts ---if these are unavailible then i would install a set of schaller tuners -- small holes will have to be drilled to mount them ---EB
I emailed them using a different address, I guess I'm a special customer

As far as the bb414 bridge I dont really know. If its a 5 hole pattern it's pretty generic and the same as mine which I replaced with the black version of these http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/bridge_gotoh.htm |

As they wear they get too much clearance between the gears which allows them to slip under string tension. So you'll be in the same spot as before. Buy a good set and take them to a qualified guitar/bass tech to have them installed, it won't be expensive at all.
For the bridge, just measure the string spacing and go online and look at some of the quality aftermarket bridges and get one that is of the appropriate width. For 4 strings it is easy because there is very little deviation in string spacing (short of like Alembic) so almost all bridges work on 4 strings. The mounting holes will be different, but the guitar/bass tech can do this as well. ABM, Hipshot, et al, are all good.
Are you using full sentences, punctuation, capital letters, and grammar when you are emailing the company? I know a few that won't reply if the person won't take the time to form a proper sentence in the email. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
