Yikes, nothing holding on the neck?

I have a Yamaha RBX 750a bass that uses an 8mm socket tool to adjust the truss rod. For me the neck had too much relief and since I don't have the socket tool I could either wait to get one delivered from AllParts or take the neck off. So I took the neck off to give the truss rod a couple of tweaks. When I went to put the neck back on I found out the screws were just spinning in their holes. Glue and toothpicks to the rescue. Like "D'oh" now the bass has some sustain again.
