your views on Preval finishing

well I lost the use of the free air compressor when my neighbor moved out I have one neck that I need to finish in KTM-9 water based lacquer, how do you guys like the Preval unit to shoot clear?

When I've used a Preval sprayer, just about anything a little thicker than water doesn't spray all that evenly. So depending on what the viscosity is, it may or may not work for you. The units (sprayer/bottle) are cheap enough to just pick one up and give it a test try on something other than your project. For me, it's not a substitute for a spray gun and compressor.
