Looks like I'm finally going to have to list this. This has been my main bass for a while and due to needing more money I have been toying with the idea of listing this for the last year. I will add more photos later as at the moment I just need to set the wheels in motion, otherwise it will be another year before I (regrettably) take action.
So here it is
The bass is an Alembic Europa made 100% in Santa Rosa California, 1992. The specs are as follows. Active Electronics (They did invent them after all!)
Two MXY pickups
Master volume and pan
Low pass filter with 2 position Q switch
Two Quick tone change switches
Wood
Five piece Maple and Purpleheart neck (3 Purpleheart laminates)
Mahogany Body with Flame Walnut Top (Over $1000 upcharge)
Ebony fingerboard
Dual trussrods
Oval pearloid fingerboard inlays
Hardware
Gold Alembic Gotoh tuners
Polished brass adjustable nut, bridge, sustain block and tailpiece
Gold Schaller straplocks
Bronze peghead logo
This bass does the Alembic sound like nobody's business but is also capable of beautiful warm sounds like no other Alembic I have heard (and I have played many). To get an idea of the signature Alembic tone check the track Stan'd tall on my Myspace-nails the Stanley vibe! (3 tracks of bass btw) To order this bass with the Flamed Walnut top and Hardcase (Original hardcase is included) the bass would cost $9550US-currently $12130 AUD. I'm listing this at the crazy price of $4900AUD to sell-I don't want to have to drag this out! The bass does have a couple of lovebites on it and I will post photos in the coming days. The bass has been recently pleked and is strung currently E-C.
This is an amazing bass and I was convinced when I purchased it that it would be the last bass I would buy. I hope it finds a good home.

I'll look into this today for you. Alternatively I am doing a European tour with a band arriving London 11th July, so providing I could add this to my luggage, this would be a cheaper option. |

I'll send you a pm.
Cheers. |

Series II,I
Stanley Signature
[b]Europa[b]
Rogue
Essence
Orion
Epic
Excel
This is amongst the top of the range in Alembics and as stated, one of the best of the many I have played. The bass has a flamed walnut top which is an $US 800 upcharge.
Thanks for looking and fire away any questions. |
