I’m selling my Vintage White Fender CIJ P-bass, purchased on April 2007 directly at Ikebe shop in Tokyo.
It’s the version marketed as PB62-78US so it’s the japanese 62’ reissue Precision Bass with Alder body (not the cheaper basswood body version) maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Bass weight is 8,5 lbs. in my bathroom scale.
I swapped the stock tuners with original Fender nickel plated reverse tuning machines, the stock bridge with an original Fender nickel spiral vintage and the stock pickup with the fabulous Nordstrand NP4. I also upgraded the pots with CTS ones, changed the stock chrome knobs with a pair of nickel barrel ones and put a great looking red-tort pickguard. The bass also was professionally shielded with aluminum foil so it's dead silent, no hum, noise whatever.
So there’s about $ 300 of upgrades flipped into this baby and it’s a great vintage looking and killer playing P-bass!
And I have to add that it’s mint, I mean NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH, CHIP or DING on it!!!!
