I've got this bass. I'm not sure about selling but i'm laying out a feeler if somebody have an offer or a nice thing to trade with.
It's a Fender Jazz Bass from 1972. This has been confirmed by the local fender rep. in Denmark.
Because of the 4bolt neckplate and the non- bullet trussrodaccess, it's probably assembled in 1972 but with 1971 parts!
It's black with a maple neck with black bindings and blocks.
I would say that it's in about 85% original state.
The non-original parts are; The pickguard and it's screws.
The decal (got it via Fender after it had been confirmed) The rings around the tuners and the stringtree.
The strapholders.
3 of the 4 saddles on the bridge.
Everything else is original (incl. the case) to the best of my knowledge (and Fender's).
It plays well, sounds really good.
Could use a fretjob and some shielding IMO.
Plz feel free to make an offer.
Just for the sake of having to post a price, let's say
2800 Euros.
Jesper

There's a reason why we europeans buy a lot of stuff "overthere". It's cheaper allthough freight, customs and tax take a lot of money at our end.

A friend found a '63 Jazz in totally mint condition on a loft and payed around $600 for it.
I've seen late '70 p basses go for more than $4000 in Germany.
What gives? Who's right?
You can't compare the european market with the american.
If you feel the price is too high, don't buy!
The price is there only because i have to put up a price. It is a feeler and mostly as a trader! |

Good luck with your sale! |

He is new to TB. He was very sorry and removed his post right away.
All is forgotten in my book.
You are all welcome to PM me with an offer or a trade. |
