Fender Jaguar bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Well here's my 2006 CIJ Fender Jaguar with a Leo Quan Badass II bridge. I also swapped the pickup covers for ones without holes (im a heavy-handed player and play in drop tunings and didnt like the sound when the strings touched the pickups). I also added a chrome 'ashtray' bridge cover that is specially made for Badass bridges.

PLEASE READ: I tried to sand the body of this bass down and re-varnish it myself - as you will see it didnt really work out, still sounds amazing and everything works as well as the day it was made (possibly better since the upgraded bridge).
I left some of the Hot Rod Red around the edge of the approximately bass to give a sillouette-effect
I didnt touch the neck. The only 'damage' other than what i did to the body is a small indent on the back of the neck at the 4th fret - i only noticed it when preparing for sale.

This has been my favorite bass since ive owned it, but my MIA Fender Deluxe Jazz has been neglected for far too long, and i cant part with it (it was given to me by my uncle), so the Jag must go. I dont need two jazz-style basses when i only ever use one, and i have a Yamaha Attitude so that covers most tones for me.

loads more pics here:
http://s135.photobucket.com/albums/q143/do...r%20for%20sale/

as you can see, the body looks like a child was let loose with alot of sand paper, and for all intents and purposes, he was.
The Scratchplate has also seen the sand paper as i had painted it with oilpaints and wanted to get it off afterwards.

I loved the bass, but wanted to get creative with it to make it unique - and i succeeded, but not in the way i would like.

As mentioned earlier, the bass still plays and sounds fantastic, If it doesnt sell, I dont intend on having it re-finished - its a great bass with the thinnest neck fender do on bass.

More pics/detailed pic's can be supplied on request.

im looking for £400 delivered to the UK (paypal)
my availability isnt great, but you can collect in person for £375 (cash)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, just send me a PM.

Hi Theo,

If you would ever think about trading your Jag for my AGRO, we could perhaps make out a deal. Although I am not planning to go to London shortly, so you should travel to the Netherlands then

actually, i probably would trade for the agro (assuming power supply isnt an issue), and i would love to come to the Netherlands, however I dont have the money for it at the moment - and if i did, i would be snatching up an Ibanez ATK.

Still available

I'll also mention that i still have the original pickup covers. and the bass comes with straplocks allready installed (and obviously i will send the corresponding locks for the strap itself)

Im holding out for a UK sale, as postage abroad seems to be horrendously(sp?) expensive.

By all means a nice bass, but the way you describe your woodworking skills deserves a free bump. Hilarious,

heheh, thanks for the bumpage.

I've currently got an Ibanez ATK400 in the works, so im going to have to remove the option of Part exchange or trade.

Its just sale now boys and girls. Dont all scramble through the door at once.

I really dig the bass, and for a good price too.

If I absolutely NEEDED a bass, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Too bad I'm in need of a new amp instead of a new bass.

SOMEONE BUY THIS! These basses are super-neat.

I'm interested, but i don't know about the shipping costs as it'd probably be expensive to send something like this to Australia. The sale would probably take some time as well as i'd have to get some money together, but I am interested. Also love the paint job, it appeals to me for some reason.

I'm also still interestes. Theo, I'm in Birmingham end of April, if the above don't fall through, and your deal for the ATK don't work out, I still have my AGRO with your name on it..

leon dude, you may be in for a deal then, coz i never sold the jag - mainly due to the fact that shipping abroad seemed to be more hassle than its worth.

I got an ATK - and kept the jag, now im selling the ATK (it was everything i was looking for, but i relinquished to GAS for a P/J bass and got a Deluxe MIM Fender Precision Special - now THATS my main bass)

I should mention that i took the BAII off the bass for my new Fender P/J, so it'd be the standard fender bridge on there, (ill probably keep the Bridge cover too - as it fits BAII bridges - which makes it a bit of a rarity apparently)

Also last time i played it, it wasnt sounding right, so im gna check the wiring and get it all sorted.

still interrested?

if so, depending on when you're in Brum, we could probably hook up, my girlfriend lives there, so i could probably visit her too and kill two birds with one stone.

I'd be interested in buying the bridger cover only f it is possible...

I have a jaguar with a badass II and the fender bridge cover is too small..

Let me know if this is possible.

Cheers,
Julien

hey julien,
sorry dude, gonna keep the bridge cover, i always try and put BAII bridges on my basses, and the bridge cover is good for taking away some of the 'modern' look
