FS/FT: Alfred Bass Overdrive

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is Dighom Alfred Bass Overdrive pedal.

This is a very rare bass overdrive by German boutique builder Dighom / Scaiman. To my knowledge Kai Schröder did a last run of the Alfred in fall 2008 and does not build them anymore. According to internet sources, this pedal replicates the circuit of an old Ampeg fliptop head. It is very warm and "tubey" sounding, very dynamic and articulate even when playing chords. Check out the sound examples on the Dighom website.

The pedal is in used but very good condition. It has been mounted on a pedalboard using a velcro at the bottom. It is hand made of very good build quality and everything is working perfectly. I've had it for about two years, and used it as main overdrive on my pedalboard. However, since I always use a SansAmp RBI for light driving edge, I wanted a pedal with a more aggressive hi-gain overdrive and replaced the Alfred with the MXR Blow Torch.

More pictures here.

Needs a stabilized 9V, 200mA power adaptor with negative center.

For trades I'm interested in a Markbass Super Synth or an EHX XO Bass Micro Synth or a Fulltone Bass-Drive Mosfet.

Asking price is EUR 200 plus shipping. Will ship worldwide.

If you're interested, please send a PM.

Found a Fulltone Bass-Drive Mosfet. Will still consider the other trades, but would prefer a cash sale.

Rearranged my pedalboard yesterday and found out that the Alfred is a perfect match to the Moog MF-101 filter to get very moogish sounds. I'll keep it for now
