Gotta put this beauty up for sale.
It's a beautiful Human Base BaseX
, featuring a flame maple body with a nice trans black high gloss finish, a three piece maple neck (some birds eye maple in there, too) and an ebony fingerboard. The neck is slim and fast, the bass balances very well because of the small headstock.
It really is a dream to play.
The sound is amazing. One would espect a very bright sound from a maple/ebony bass, but this BaseX is very warm punchy, it has just the right amount of high end sparkle, with a very growly and full bottom end.
There is a pickup ramp between the pickups, to give you that consistant feeling whereever you place your hand when playing. The ramp is removable, cause it's hold in place by adhesive tape.
The Glockenklang preamp is amazing: it gives you exactly the same sound, no matter if you play it in passive or active mode (volume push/pull). I guess that's all i can say about this bass. Amazing piece of craftsmanship !
Here come the specs:
- flame maple body (high gloss trans black finish)
- 3pc maple neck (a few birds eyes in there too)
- deep 6-bolt neck joint
- ebony fingerboard w/ zero fret
- Bartolini soapbars
- custom made pickup ramp (removable)
- Glockenklang 2EQ preamp (incredible preamp, really !)
- Schaller security locks
- weight: only 4.0kg
- serial number: 020
The bass has a few dings and dongs, but nothing mayor. I would say, it's in a very good condition for its age. Just plug it in and start grooving. It's set up very well and comes from a smoke free home. Never had road abuse, just been played at home and rehearsal rooms, and for recording.
It comes in its original Human Base gig-bag that fits perfectly. The price I'm asking for is only 900 euros (shipping excluded) or make me a good offer. (a new bogart costs 2500 euros !)
The bass will be wrapped in bubble wrap several times, then put in a cardboard box filled with crumpled paper and air bags. Totally safe, and it's insured, too.
You can pay via money transaction. If you worry about sending money to a complete stranger, I could put this bass up on german ebay, and you can buy it from there (100% positive feedback there). Although this would cost maybe 60 euros ebay fees... I'd leave that up to the buyer.
If there are any questions or price quotes, just drop me a message.
