OK guys - this pains me!
This has been a long and hard decisions to make, however...
Up for sale is my Mailloux SCJC 6 string.
This bass was the result of a lot of collaboration with the man himself, Phillipe Mailloux (
http://www.maillouxbasses.com/). Made in Brisbane, Australia.
I literally love everything about this bass... apart from the fact it's got 6 strings.
Over my time away from the 6 I used a 5 string all the time - and I loved the simplicity of it. Just can't get back into the 6er anymore.
This bass sounds amazing, and is pretty much fully optioned - no holds barred!

The basic specs are:
- Walnut body
- 5 piece Maple/Purpleheart neck thru
- master grade flamed Tasmanian Blackwood top (exotic Australian wood - closely related to Koa)
- Gabon ebony fretboard (no dying!)
- 26 frets (banjo frets)
- 17mm spacing
- 33" scale
- Hipshot hardware
- custom dual coil pickups w/ebony covers made by Phil
- Mike Pope onboard pre (this alone costs around $500 USD)
- gabon ebony ramp
