Up for sale is my beloved Stambaugh 4 string. It's ash/maple with a purpleheart top. It is in fantastic condition with some very slight wear near the back pickup. The bass is a cross between a musicman, a precision and an alembic in design
It has an aero P pickup, an aero handwound musicman pickup and an ability to pan between both in active and passive mode or blend. It has a bart preamp and is the cleanest and purest sounding bass I have ever played - and those of you that know me know I have played a few!
In shipping, customs and upcharges for the pickups, this bass cost me $3k. To buy it now from Chris would cost you more like $4k. I'm looking to get $1700 plus shipping for it.
