FS or Trade: 1984 Tokai Hard Puncher Precision bass (Australia)

Sign in to disble this ad
This Tokai Hard Puncher is an 1984 model from the golden era of Japanese guitar craftsmanship. This period is when Tokai, Greco, Fender Japan and others were producing instruments of better quality than most US manufacturers. These Tokai P-basses are great quality instruments, especially for the price. Nice neck, high output pickup, very well built overall.

This one has scratches and some buckle rash etc, but plays and sounds just fine. And it's 26 years old now, so it's officially "vintage"! LOL

This is the second Tokai Hard Puncher I've owned (both were black, coincidentally) and they are as good as any MIJ Fender I've owned and are better than MIA Fenders from the 1970s and 1980s.

Strings are near new D'Addario Chromes, and weight is 9.5lbs.

No hard case on this one either, but I'll send it via insured and trackable courier to your door, packed well in a heavy duty shipping carton.

AUD$600 for local pickup in Sydney, AUD$650 shipped Australia wide.

I'd trade the Tokai for a good ultra lightweight 1x12, 1x10 or 2x8 cab (or similar), or a good quality practice amp.
