Hi all,
Reluctantly I am trading off one of my prized possessions,
Pedulla MVP 5 with an amazing maple fingerboard and quilted top. This is REALLY rare! and isn't available anymore even with custom orders.
this is an Email from Pedulla i received when I got the bass:
Quote:
Hi, Alon.
Glad you like your "new" Pedulla bass : )
It was an MVP 5-string with Quilted Maple and a Birdseye Maple fingerboard, made in 1991.
A maple fingerboard on an MVP is rare, as it was not a standard offering back then and is not offered at all now (even by special request).
Please make sure that you have the proper trussrod wrench and review the Owners Manual
when making adjustments. Let us know if you ever have any questions.
Thanks,
Christine |
Condition:
This instrument is in great condition. It has small chips in the finish but these are very small and are located in the upper back area as shown in the pics.
The action is very nice and low. I ordered the special truss rod tool from Pedulla especially for this bass and it will come with the bass inside the hardcase.
The sound in modern as is expected with the mix of precise attack and full low end BUT it is mellower and warmer to my ears then MVP's with ebony boards.
The controls are:
Volume (pull for passive)
Blend
Mid (pull for another adjustable mid freq from the control cavity)
Bass/treble - stacked
to sum this up, If you are looking for an MVP this should certainly be on your list
Trades:
Modern: Fodera, Ken Smith,MTD 535, Tobias (pre-gibson) - I'll add $$$
Fender-like: Celinder update! Sadowsky NYC - I'll add some $
Vintage: A really nice P-bass (Rosewood only)
