After much soul searching (and some tube amp GAS) I've come to the conclusion that I can truly get by with less than 9 basses. A couple of them don't get played very often, not because they aren't great basses, but pure mathematics dictates that there is not enough time in the day or gigs in my calendar to be able to play all of my basses as much as I would like.
I have 4 wonderful Musicman basses, so I'm going to sell two of them. I'll offer them up here before they go to eBay.
This dual humbucker Bongo is in the 2005 Limited Edition colour - "buttercream", so is extremely rare. This is the only one in Australia, and I believe there were less than 10 HH Bongos produced in this gorgeous colour.
It is in excellent condition, with only one tiny match head sized paint chip on the back of the neck behind the first fret. It's only noticeable because the neck is painted and could be easily fixed with some nail polish in the right shade.
I'm not going to rave on about the features of the Bongo, because if you have read this far you will already know what Bongos have going for them. Short description is that the 18v electronics and the dual humbuckers will turn your drummer into goo, and the 4 band EQ gives you more tonal possibilities than you will ever need. A HH Bongo will handle everything from sweet pop and funk through to balls-to-the-wall rock, and one of the most ergonomic basses on the market.
Currently strung with heavy gauge D'Addario Chromes, and comes with Musicman moulded hard case.
