Hi guys,
This little amp sounds awesome. Great boutique style amp for recording studio or as a stage monitor at gigs. I originally thought I would use it as the master to run a louder amp as a slave but never got round to buying a louder amp.
I bought this as I have a bad back and it weighs in at the 20kg mark (give or take a bit) but for the small church praise stuff I do I find myself reaching for my much lighter Yorkville 50 watt bassmaster (12kg) and my sadowski pre-di.
I've owned it for about 2 years, purchased new from Venue Music in Sydney, and it has seriously little play time on it and has never been pushed. I've played it at church about 8 times and used it only a little for home practice. This amp is still in shiny, pristine condition. It is just like buying a brand new one. I still have the original box, manual and power cord. Will also throw in an original SWR dust cover which was ordered from the states and cost me about AUD$90. The only problem with it is that the handle hole is slightly mis-aligned (although you can still cary the amp by the handle while the dust cover is on), other than that it is a perfect fit over the rest of the amp.
These retail here at around AUD$2200 and if you can talk well they will drop to $1,850 cash. This is in such good condition I'd like to hit the $1400 mark.
Happy to talk trades if you think you got something of similar quality BUT lighter, but I prefer cash on this one.
The one heads up on this amp which I didn't get from any salesmen (and I rang up several shops, so I'm not only blaming venue on this one) is that it is exactly the same as the models described online except for the speaker out option. SWR said that due to Australia's stringent safety standards this amp got a little too warm for their liking when runnning an extension speaker, therefore the speaker extension option was removed from this model in Australia. Happy to discuss this further and what possible options you have with it too.
Cheers,
Nigel. |
