Some work done on this Black Walnut and Myrtle Recurve 5.

Just the neck carve and body contours to do on this Finn Classic 6 then into the spray booth.

I love those body veneers on the Recurve--subtle and elegant. What woods are you using for them?

The Finn is turning out amazingly, of course!

I always love maple for an accent stripe. It's one of the small things that I dig about Wal basses. With the myrtle and walnut I think it will look fantastic.

Looks fantastic, Alan! Seeing it all cut and shaped, it's really neat how the light sapwood (?) on the ziracote sorta links in with the ash core, while the darker part is a match for the wenge. Another masterpiece!

It's coming together quite nicely isn't it
I can't even begin to explain how excited I am about this bass, there's not a single word in the English language for it, or even an Emoticon!

I might be slightly biased, but I think that's an outstanding looking instrument.

Wow, really like the two Skelf dbl cuts and, as I already own one, I'm in love with the single cut recurve shape - and what fabulous tops on all three! Great basses, Alan. Three happy customers, I suspect.
