According to an old
Guitar Player interview I read; Wyman used, almost exclusively a solidbody bass that he bought for 6 Pounds, plucked the frets out of it, band-sawed it to a shape he liked and then laquered it up. He used that bass on almost every album until
Some Girls where he used the Travis Bean.
Here & there, you'll see pictures of it. Usually because it really doesn't have much asthetic appeal. It's a smallish-SG-looking axe with a roundish headstock.
Very, very short scale.
