1 minute bass improvisation

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share this short improvised bass solo I made. I was inspired yet again by Mr. Victor Wooten and so I decided to record this.

Tell me what you guys think.

Cool. Have you ever tried moving your thumb off that pickup during finger style playing? I like the bending between notes within the first half.

Thanks mate! And to answer your question, I've never moved my thumb off the pickup whenever I play fingerstyle. Even when skipping strings. I have Rocco's bass lesson and there's this part where he demonstrates about his right hand technique. I never got it right though. And I'm pretty much comfortable resting my thumb on the pickup.

You sound really good man. I see you like Victor Wooten and Mark King. Do you know who Reggie Young is?

Good chops display. I can see the influence in your playing.

One thing that irks me: your strings sound completely dead. I know that is a personal thing but for that type of playing bright, fresh strings always sound better to my ears.

Thanks man. And yes, I do like both of 'em, they're one of my biggest influence. On the other hand, I'm not really familiar who Reggie Young is.

Thanks for watching mate. And yeah it does. I haven't changed my strings for over 4-5 months. But I'll have them replaced soon.
