Have you ever checked out Slim Cessna's Auto Club? One of the best live shows I've ever been to.

I love that band. Religious music without the boring, uninspired song writing.

Check out his new band Woven Hand.

Good stuff. I've been listening to them a fair bit lately. I saw Woven Hand open for Tool earlier this summer. They put on an excellent show... very serious, focused music with meaning.

This band is AMAZING. Surprised there isn't much talk of them here. Their main bassist, Pascal Humbert, does some really interesting stuff. He plays both bass guitar and double bass. A really unique band.

Yeah, I dig them a lot. You may also like Lift to Experience, Murder by Death, and The Drones. They all have a similar vibe, and are all brilliant in their own ways.
