2 bass tracks in i dont trust myself

in john mayers song i dont trust myself, both pino and david (however you spell that guys last name) played bass. just wondering, how do you decipher the two?
david plays a jazz, but the lows are so dominant it sounds just like pinos p bass, so i cant tell the difference between the tracks. tips?
have a listen anyways, its one of the grooviest ever written. i mean, it DOES have two basses ha...

It's Willie Weeks that played with Pino on the track IIRC.

I think David is playing all of the low groove and Pino is just adding some upper octave flava..................

Marton is correct it was Willie Weeks that originally played on that track. He plays the root notes while Pino does those little pops at the end of the phrases. It's a pretty cool approach.
