2 chord tequila jam......lots of wanking

So my brother came into to town a couple of weeks ago. We hadn't seen each other in about 5 years. all in all we had a good time together. when he lived out here, we used to get together every sunday for "breffus with the blues" where we would cook breakfast and then sit out on the patio and do some accoustic jamming for a couple hours. him on accoustic steel string g****r and me on an accoustic bass. lotsa fun. well, due to his job, he hadn't played in a while and was itching to jam, so i took him over to my group's place to have a little jam session with the band, hang out, drink an enormous amount of tequila and beer, and jam....nothing serious. kinda like hangin out at the bar, except with instruments.

just wanted to share a little snippet of a warm up we did....nothing fancy, just a 2 chord progression of G to Fnat.....it's amazing what alot of tequila makes you think you can play.

I love jamming over 2 chord progressions. I do it a lot with my friends. Sounded good, thanks for sharing!

yeah....it's nice and easy......we tried doing some of our stuff but my brother just stood there and looked at us unable to follow the changes, so we decided to go te comfy route. that, and this was all supposed to be fun, why sit down and learn new stuff when the point is to jam and just have some fun.....right?

man i wasted that night.

Very nice jam sir! I've only done this sort of thing with just one other instrument (guitar or drums), so its actually pretty inspirational to hear some other non rockstar(i presume, no offence intended) people just jamming out

thanks for the kind words

yeah...no rockstars over here, just a group of people that love to play music. what's interesting is that the core group (regular musicians, without my brother) and I never do this kind of thing, we cover a lot of blues tunes and write our own music, but in the history of our group, i can't recall one single time where we actually just did a brain dump and jammed for a bit. it felt really good, like getting something off your chest.
