Elton John 11/17/70
What a great album, and a must for any bassist. Dee Murray covers many styles over the course of this live album. it's just piano, bass, and drums(Nigel Ollson), with great vocals from all three guys.

One of the greats!

I am a huge fan of the Elton John Band, and it was listening to Dee Murray that inspired me to be a bassist. I studied the music and learned to play it note for note. When I finally got a copy of 11/17/70 (around '76) I was floored. To me it is almost a perfect live album, you can't listen to it without feeling you are a part of the audience... or in my case part of the band

Sometimes "simple is best". Dee Murray was a great bassist and I really miss him. But he was around long enough to inspire me and many others I am sure.

Any one know where I can get a digital version of the original recording, NOT the "remastered" CD... I have worn out my album...
