Jeff Andrews seems to be under the TB radar, but he's an awesomely musical player. His solos really show a deep understanding of advanced jazz harmony.

But what's with the licking his fingertips thing?

I'm not sure what that is all about, but Jimmy Earl does the same thing.

I've always dug Jeff's playing and unfortunately I've never had the opportunity so see him play in person. Still one of my favorite players for reasons that you mention.
