Fender Precision bass most likely, but I have seen Bon Scott-era video where Cliff also played Jazz basses and Gibson Rippers. Dont believe that he started using a stingray until Highway to hell era...

This video looks like it's probably from that tour.

Hard to tell. Not much footage of Cliff there in the back. At first I thought it was a Precision but am not so sure.

On the "If you want blood" Live album, which is made up of material from "The powerage tour", Cliff Williams is using a Sunburst Precision bass (although a Black/or dark purle one has shown up). It has a maple fretboard, and a golden (adonized...? Whats the term again?) pickguard. His amplifier set up is an Ampeg SVT with Two 8x10s. He has roundwound strings if i am not mistaken, and primarily uses a pick during this period. However, using your fingers will work just as well.
He also uses this same precision, except it is missing alot more paint, during the Razors Edge tour, where it alternated with a Stingray.
If you have any other questions, ask away.

Thanks.

KramerBassFan you the Man! In the video I posted the first thing I thought was he's using Sunburst Precision but then I couldn't really be sure about the headstock. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah man, glad to help...
I'm a HUGE Ac/Dc Fan, and i know what bass was used (or at least most commonly...) For just about every year of them.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Cliff used AMPEG's up until the mid 80's, when he switched to Mesa Boogie.
But more recently, he's back to Ampegs.

Thanks.
