Acoustic Bass Guitar Recordings?

Are there any recordings that include an acoustic bass guitar? I have a Fender GB-41 SCE and was wondering how it would sound as part of a full band recording.

The Violent Femmes have lots of tracks with ABG.
Also check out Steve Swallow. He gets a great sound on electric or acoustic. I have his album "Real Book". His intro to the song "Let's Eat" is killer. He also plays some acoustic on the Metheny/Scofield album "I Can See Your House From Here".

There are lots of examples out there. Many of the 'MTV Unplugged' sessions were done on ABG's. Nathan East is great on Eric Clapton's famous unplugged album.

Strictly on a solo tip, check out Jonas Hellborg's "The Silent Life". It's like nothing I've ever heard.

Ditto on Jonas Hellborg, he's one of the few players trying to do something new and different with the instrument.

I should warn you that Swallow is playing jazz and Hellborg fusion/world music. Stick to the Violent Femmmes if you're interested in ROCK.

Bryan Beller's "View" - 3 tracks are solo ABG compositions, and fair amount of the other songs have overdubbed ABG tracks as well.

...in fact, it was his Taylor AB-4 that he came up with the first song on, and convinced him that he had original music inside him.

You can check out some live recordings of him with guitarist Mike Keneally here from their Taylor Guitar clinics tours. An acoustic duo album was recently recorded, and will be out next year.
