'If I can't have you' by Yvonne Ellemann(sp?). What a sprawling disco epic- real strings, odd-timed chord changes... beautiful.

Hey, nothing wrong with that!! I am not impressed at all by the "thousand notes a minute" crowd - I'd much rather hear a great melody, supported by great groove - whatever best fits the song!!!

If I was to trawl my iTunes collection, I'd probably be banned from this forum due to the cheesiness of some of the tunes on there! hahahahaha

ENJOY THE SONG! - that's the only thing that matters!

I'm probably gonna get some harsh words for this one, but I've begun to like pop. As in Hilary Duff, Kelly Clarkson, Ashlee Simpson, etc.

lately i've really been liken alot of pop and RnB music, justin timberlakes new songs are really good, mary.J.Blidge, timbaland and loads of stuff i cant remember the names of, i'm also a really big fan of nelly furtado aswell now, i didnt really know much about her, but now i realise shes very open minded, talented and creative, writes/co-writes her own songs and plays instruments and doesnt mime, which is a rare thing in todays popular music.

i'm not really ashamed, but when the people you jam with or your family all dont like anything unless its rock or MC or something, and your the only one listening to everyhting, i feel like i have to listen to some things in secret lol, its weird i know, but more and more lately i just dont care. woot woot

Well, "Oxygčne" and "Equinoxe" are classic albums in my list...

I kind of find myself liking her stuff.....
Music/singing....of course I also like her stuff as well......or at least fancy that I would....

On theme here, I find myself liking a lot of female singers...don't know why...and it has little to do with how they look....I liked KT Tunstell before I ever saw a video.....same with Kelly Clarkson...I liked the music and her voice in Walk Away...especially the drums....before I ever saw how entertaining the video was.

Same goes for Nelly Furtado, especially some of her latest stuff.....

And for the record, there are some pretty good bass lines in many of Elton Johns songs..

Maroon 5's Makes Me Wonder is my ringtone! It's so catchy.
The rest of their CD blows though.
I've always liked Kelly Clarkson.
There's a clip on the Low End Jazz site with Justin Timberlake's bassist playing a LEJ at the grammys. MAN such a groove. I love it!

Wait a minute.........if you like it, how can it be 'bad'?? What would be considered 'admittedly bad' music?

I agree with James Hart!

theres nothing wrong in liking any music or genre. all music has something that everyone can relate to or appreciate. its just at times some people have a fixed mindset that they can only listen to one type of music, or avoid something else. its pretty limiting listening to the same thing all the time.

in terms of good and bad music, whatever you like is good, and whatever you cant stand is bad. but tbh there is not much music i cant stand. you have to be in a particular mood to be able to try something new at times.

i consider 'bad' music something that i havent heard enough to understand what its all about and say its 'good'

but everyones entitled to their opinion, and this is mine.

You know I've listened to and DJ'd almost every music style out there and I feel that there is nothing wrong with Disco, Disco rocks! It makes you wanna shake your @ss, positive vibe and uplifting lyrics. As overplayed as it may be "Good Times" always makes me feel happy.

Anywho as far as guilty pleasures go I'd say Europe's "The Final Countdown"

We're heading for Venus and still we stand tall...how can not love it!
