Advice on our latest song.

Here's our latest song: "New Statesman" (click the green arrow to stream).

New Statesman

We did it on my computer in 45 mins. Terrible. I was all over the place with my timing. Guitar and bass solos are both improvised (guitar done much better than bass) and out of time and stuff. Hasn't been mixed yet. I'm just looking for advice.

If you have a listen my problem is that the bass isn't cutting through the mix. I just can't get the right sound. It's meant to be a fairly bass driven song, and the recording just isn't showing it up well. We're all going to re-record it (except maybe the drums) so any advice you could give me would be great. Thanks, Jack.
