This is a new cd I purchased and it has realy been a good buy. I think its a must for those who enjoy Weather Report. Great bass lines from Alphonso! All round super band and live recording.

Line up: Alphonso Johnson - Bass
Billy Cobham - Drums
Steve Khan - Guitar
Tom Scott - Sax
Mark Soskin - Keys

Doug Rauch was the bassist before Johnson in Cobham/Duke band and plays on "Life & Times" album (lineup: Cobham/Duke/Rauch/Scofield). Has anyone heard any live recordings from that lineup?

Is ALIVEMUTHERFORYA a new record (meaning recent?) cause it's been awhile since I've heard anything new from those guys.

Alphonso is so tasty and Boomer a fabulous drummer (Ah! those single stroke rolls!) Not your typical contemporary rythm section to say the least but, whoa, such immense power and life in the playing!
