I must say that Preston Crump sounds really good on this Raphael Saadiq album. Groovy tone

He's not the only thing sounding really good on that album! I was just listening to it in the car, it's one of my current favorites, receiving heavy rotation when I'm out and about. What a great album. I have Saadiq's other releases, but this one is something else entirely. My only gripe, is that on the first set, they just burn through songs. Mostly hype stuff, but each track is only about 1:40-2:30 long, burn through the melody a verse or so, then segue into something else. It's cool and all, but I would have loved to have heard more elaborations on well known favorites. The 2nd set is excellent though.
