Question AmpegSVX novise

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone got some hints on how to get the AmpegSVX plugin to sound good??

I can't get it to sound really fat and punchy without breaking up.
It just don't give a good impression of the bass..
I have the Audio Control 1 soundcard, and Logic pro on a MacBook.

I am (as you probably guessed already) quite new to software
bass, so any tip or links to "how to" is more than welcome...

Try lowering the input gain a tad and lay off the ultra-high switches. Also, if the cab you're using is a 410, lower the tweeter.

I have had great success with the SVX plugin by using SPDIF to take the A/D conversion out of my soundcard's list of things to do. It frees up a lot of resources and allows me to get my latency down under 5ms.

Looking at it right now, my input gain is fairly low, that might help too.
