Angels and Airwaves?

Is the rest of the album as good as the single? I was never a huge Blink fan, but so far I really enjoy what I've heard of the new project. I'm a big U2 fan, and The Adventure has an obvious U2 influence.

Can't say I'm a huge fan...sounds really overprocessed/overproduced. I know that's what they were going for....just not my bag, I guess.

Listening to it leaves me cold. It's sound so fake and overproduced, and the performances limp and lifeless. I'm not a pop punk fan by any means (I hate the genre!), but it stuns me to think that Tom Delonge was the guy who once wrote catchy songs like All The Small Things and Man on a Mission. I mean, just think of all the goofy things Blink 182 did in their videos! By comparison, he's gone emo now!

Or he discovered what a delay pedal was and went to town with it.

I don't mean to rag on him, or criticise him for putting the "fun" side of his musical personality on hold, it's just that with putting the "fun" side on hold, all the passion seems to have went with it!

i respectfully disagree.

i think his passion went into a different area. a more complex, experimental, creative side.

Its very spacey and processed. Me, I prefer just the opposite... raw and underproduced music. Guess it's not my thing!

If this is what being grown up is all about I hope I stay forever young.

If I play my cards right, I may still be capable of human emotion when I am his age.
