Another Tricky Day

Every time I listen to this, I get chills as to how good Entwistle was. Recently I came across a live version on YouTube that really demonstrates his command of his Alembic. With good headphones through my PC, I picked up intricacies in his lines in the studio version I haven't heard in a long time...I figured it's worth posting both...

Here's the live version...

It's a shame that 'Face Dances' is such a mediocre album, the bass work is great. And, what a truly magnificent tone! 'How Can You Do It Alone' and 'Daily Records' also have great basslines. I get serious Alembic GAS whenever I hear it.

However, if you value your love for The Who, steer well clear of 'It's Hard' at all costs. 'One Life's Enough'?

Yep - I agree that "Face Dances" is not up to the rest of the Who catalogue - but You Better You Bet sure is a fun song to listen to! I always wanted to get that song slapped into our set list just for the heck of it.

Yeh, that's a good'un. The version on the Albert Hall DVD is great.

Townshend apparently saved all the best stuff for his solo albums. "Empty Glass" is brilliant.
