Actually, I have no idea who's making new albums this year. Oh well. A good amount of bands I like already released new material this past year.

Tool, and of course new Dream Theater! I'd like a new Rush studio album, but I'm not really expecting one. Who knows what's going to come out this year...

Thrice - recording now...
Thursday - writing material for it now. Let's hope it comes out this year. They just need to lay off the pitch correction this time. It's not MEANT to have perfect vocals. lol
Mars Volta - already heard the bootleg of it. It's awesome!!! I want the real one NOW!!!
The Rocket Summer - It'll be interesting to see how the guy's grown since "Calendar Days" came out. And it'll be good to see him on tour again. Bryce has to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
BEN FOLDS!!! - I've been waiting four years for a new Ben album. The EPs were OK and had a few great songs, but I want a full album!!!
Dredg - I didn't even know they had a new album coming out, but I want it.

Looks like it'll be a good year for music yet again.

Is that "Sex is Confusion", freaky? If so, we have a vinyl copy of it at the station, someone requested it the other day and we spun it.

Yeah, Tool's at the top of my list, really.

but soad, mars volta, queens of the stone age, =w='s album 5... and beck's in the studio, not sure how close he is to being done though.

I'm hoping Metallica comes out with a new one. They probably wont this year though. Maybe they can make up for St. Anger, and it would be nice to hear Rob on an album.

"Confusion is Sex" is the name, and no. That's the first album, but it did have a 7" "Kill Yr Idols" with it in pressings.

The EP was a Self-Titled, and was made in 1981, and I think had about 7000 copies or so. "The Burning Spear" is a live favourite, even though not everyone has heard the studio version.

As I have now heard that Queensryche is coming out with 'Operation: Mindcrime II', I am (not so) patiently awaiting its release.

Dream Theater's new album is coming out in late May-early June!

Edit: it's called "Octavarium" and it's coming out July 7th!

You mean "Suspended Animation"? I'm pretty sure it's already out. It's being sold at www.johnpetrucci.com.
