"High Rise" is a song that floats through my mind on a semi-regular basis as I go about life.

Thanks for bringing that up! I somehow missed this one on my first listen of Ambient Anarchists... it is cool!

Doremi Fasol Latido is my Hawkwind album of choice

MY favorites:

Space Ritual

Hall of The Mountain Grill

Warrior On the Edge of Time

The 1999 Party (live double album from the "Hall of The Mountain Grill" tour)

Hawkwind seemed to sound their best in a live setting

Whoa! Hawkwind Thread! Been a fan since I was about 15. First got into Space Ritual having been let down by The Grateful Dead. I wanted heavy psychedelic and I got it in spades! To me it is like the ultimate appreciation of the live side of Ummagumma cooked up on vinyl. Lemmy's playing is massive, he's basically the 2nd guitarist.

I used to have their LPs. I found Robert Calvert's solo stuff the most enjoyable

"Space Ritual" was my first Hawkwind experience too.
