I agree. They were a very under appreciated band and had some great songs.

Fastway - Say What You Will

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5_oPyavUaw

Fastway is a British rock band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO. In 1983, both players had been disgruntled with their own bands and decided to work together in a new outfit. They recruited drummer Jerry Shirley, formerly of Humble Pie, and the then unknown vocalist Dave King. They took their name from a combination of the founding members' names. However, Way then discovered that he could not escape from his recording contract with Chrysalis Records, and then received a tempting offer to play for Ozzy Osbourne, so abandoned the project. Bringing in session bassist Mick Feat, the band then recorded their debut album, Fastway.

...one of the first songs I ever learned to play on bass.
Not a bad album, either.

Ogden Edsl's "Dead Puppies" was the most requested song on the Dr. Demento radio show, and remains the only song to ever hit number one on the annual "Funny 25" countdown two years in a row (1982 and 1983).

Speaking of songs prominently played on Dr. Demento's show, here is another one. This song eventually got frequent video play on MTV and the record was played on many stations.

The Beat Farmers - Happy Boy

Dr demento is where I first heard weird al. While im not a huge fan I recognize his talent & comedy. For some reason I think he and the melon-smashing Gallagher are the same. Anyway weird al is 80's too.

I'd say anything by NMA, they are just a fantastic band and Justin to me is one of the worlds' best living songwriters to this day!
