It's pretty good but IMO not quite up to par with "Astronauts and Heretics". And I was under the impression that anyone who was a serious musician had to own a copy of "Aliens Ate My Buick" by federal mandate. They got so hard to find that I traded a compressor pedal for the vinyl.
Second: The Lords Of The New Church "Method To My Madness" was the last rock and roll album ever made in the 80's...and possibly the only one.

Fastway is a British rock band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO. In 1983, both players had been disgruntled with their own bands and decided to work together in a new outfit. They recruited drummer Jerry Shirley, formerly of Humble Pie, and the then unknown vocalist Dave King. They took their name from a combination of the founding members' names. However, Way then discovered that he could not escape from his recording contract with Chrysalis Records, and then received a tempting offer to play for Ozzy Osbourne, so abandoned the project. Bringing in session bassist Mick Feat, the band then recorded their debut album, Fastway. | Love Fastway!! The soundtrack for the movie Trick or Treat was also a great one by them. |

I remember when the song came out-the identity of the band members was an unknown for several years, I think it was figured out later to be a group of studio musicians. This song got a fair amount of airplay in the Detroit area in the early 80's and I have always loved the dominance of the bass line... http://youtu.be/xjWI37-IQso

Danny Chauncey, who is now with .38 Special, was in this band. They also did the original version of I Wanna Go Back, which was later a hit for Eddie Money when Chauncey played in his band. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
