This is one of those bands that never gets mentioned around here, and I've always thought they were one of the best rock bands of their time. Any fans?

HELL YES!!!! only album I have is "For your own special sweetheart" and it's great!!! A great example of the mid 90's post-punk/avant-garde/noise-rock genre. I also really dig Shudder to Think (really under-rated band), Fugazi, Cursive, Sonic Youth (who doesnt), any band that uses noise/dissonance in a musical manner is alright in my book.

Jawbox and Shudder to Think have some similarities as well- the old drummer from Jawbox left and joined Shudder to Think, and they both left the same indie record label to be signed to a major one (didn't work out great for either one though ). I dig S.T.T. a lot as well.

I'm a huge Shudder to Think fan. I borrowed a Jawbox CD once and liked it. Never picked up my own copy but good playing and they had a different vibe going on that I liked.

Used to have one of their tapes...lol, long time ago. I forget what the name of the album was but I really dug it. It had a purple cover I think...Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Shudder to Think was pretty rad too. There was a buch of Dischord bands from that era I used to dig as well, can't remember many of them for some reason though.
