I saw these guys last weekend at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, and I was impressed with their sound and set-up. Their music and visuals are quite mesmerizing. What CD's would you recommend of theirs?

Ozrics!

I saw them twice (2000 w/ Zia on bass and 2004 w/ Pazza). They are not the band they used to be. It's basically Ed Wynne now (guitar and synths). It was kind of sad to see them in '04, w/o Jumping John (flute), and a real horrible mix. That was the tour that Roger Water's son played keys with them, he took a nice little jazzy solo. Roger was actually at the show I was at (NYC).

Ed's brother Roly was the original bassist, he had a unique style.

CDs: "Jurassic Shift" and "Waterfall Cities" are two of my faves. I have the entire catalog of OT on CD except for the very latest one (2006).

Also get the "Live At The Pongmasters Ball" DVD. Good mix of classic and newer stuff.

Pretty good stuff. Proggy jam band kinda stuff. I'm not a huge fan so I can't give advice, but they are probably one of the best bands to come out of the "jam" scene.

Yeah, I used to dig them a lot. Haven't listened in many years. I have all of their stuff from before 1996 or so.

I saw them in Chicago once around 1995. I have a video somewhere too.
