one of my all time favorites. siamese dream is one of the most underrated albums of all time, and while there is some admittedly weird stuff on mellon collie, the stuff that is good (jelly belly, an ode to no one, muzzle, etc) is amazing.

rock on pumpkins...i was just reading in rolling stone that billy corgan wants to start touring again under Smashing Pumpkins, but as of right now d'arcy and james iha are not interested at all. we'll seeeeeeeeeeeee

Killer band, when they were on very few could touch them. I can, and do, listen to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness on repeat for days on end all these years later.

I also dig Zwan, that was a great album.

I loved Gish and Lull (first EP), Siamese Dream was one of the best albums of the 90's but then they lost something for me. I saw them at Lalapalooza in 94 and they honestly werent very god. In their defense they had been following the Beastie Boys everynight for 6 months, NO ONE can follow the Beasties and look good, NO ONE!!!!!!

I agree. My interest waned after Siamese Dream, and dried up after Jimmy Chamberlain left for the bighouse. Gish is still one of my top five of all time.

Love 'em. They got me into rock music when I was five or six years old.

Awesome band...I like most of their stuff, but my favorites are Siamese Dream and Mellancollie.

Also, there's a bunch of sick b-sides from Meloncollie that never made it onto any of their full length.

Heh, I still need to listen to that box set I got from you.

One of the first bands I got into- Siamese Dream is godlike. Mellon Collie is also awesome and convinced me that overblown double albums are a good idea Also one of the first gigs I ever saw, on the farewell tour- excellent stuff.

Billy Corgan's solo album is terrible though....

Check out the Zero single, It has some great stuff on it. Also the song "The Aeropleane Flies High" on one of those, I forget which one, is awesome.

Love the Pumpkins. My favs are Bullet With Butterfly Wings (I prefer the harder live version though), Zero and Day Dream. I wish D'arcy sung more that was an awesome song.
