Good stuff for sure. Was in a band that would cover "Dancing in the Moonlight" whenever we had a sax player sit in.

Hell yeah! I love Thin Lizzy. Phil's playing\tone is awesome.
I have Jailbreak and Chinatown on vinyl.
My band has covered The Rocker and Bad Reputation a few times.

Definitely a mixed bag AFAIC. Great, great songs but awful, shi**ty production. I don't know what to attribute the terrible sound of the Jailbreak album to, other than everyone involved being high out of their minds while mixing.

If anyone ever remixed Jailbreak and a few of their other albums I would pay real money for those.

What? A successful band out of Ireland that's not U2?

Seriously though, Thin Lizzy rocks.

These remastered Lizzy albums sound great, and finally do justice to Lynott's low end prowess. How that guy could sing those oddball syncopated lyrics while playing completely different rhythms on the bass is something of a marvel to me. Way underrated bass player. One of the greats and a personal hero of mine.

Get your 70's rock on, get your yourself a copy of Live and Dangerous. Forget about all of the rumors, it is simply one of the great albums of the 70's!

Agreed. Phil's independence between singing and playing on that album was amazing.

Proud owner of a black Fender P with mirror pickguard here.

Phil is the man.

I also have deep respect for the other band members; they were a sum of their parts with a great frontman/singer/songwriter.

Their drummer, Brian Downey, is almost criminally underappreciated.
