Cool page a buddy of mine just sent me. twenty three mp3 files of isolated drum tracks from Zeppelins In Through The Out Door.

http://www.saladrecords.com:80/bonhamfiles.htm

One of my favorites is #22
John Bonhams version of whats known as the Purdie shuffle (Bernard Purdie) that he used in Fool in the Rain. I love that groove. Funny, the first couple of seconds of this track did not wind up on the album though.

So,.....who's good with making drum loops??

Who wants to record something and post it?

Saved them all - might do something with them later. Always good to have samples!

i'm glad these things are still there. they were posted to a different website when they first surfaced but then removed. this site has had them for awhile now. i'm glad. yea, it's inspirational to play along with them or simply listen to them. talk about power. and how about the grunting! very cool.

the songs 'blackrobes of laforge', 'ripley's karmic', and 'tearing the liquid highway' are all done using the bonham drums. 'tearing the liquid highway' was the first of those i did. the song is simple but it pretty much wrote itself as i played along to it. for 'ripley's karmic' i even kept his count off at the beginning.
