I always thought the lyrics in RHCP were OK...but i think they are just terrible in this latest album. Don't get me wrong, i love the instrumentals...but i really can't stand the lyrics and vocals =/ |

Come on, wasn't the rapping getting a little old for you? I mean, they're like 45 years old, you can only rap about boobies and sex, even thinly veiled, for so long before it gets creepy.
I kind of agree on the lyrics; Hey Yo? But still...

It seemed like a lot of the 'fire' went away.
I fealt the same way about Rush - either on or after Subdivisions - fealt like they were no longer the group I fell in love with.
Not to say they both did not continue to make incredible music - it just left me behind, that's all.

| I hate to say it, but I had not thought of it this way. You have a point...

It sounds like he is singing without passion, wheras on earlier albums he was putting his all into it. Thats the biggest dissapointment I have with the album. |

| | | | I don't like the lyrics either. Actually, it may be that they're actually very deep and poetic and use symbolism and metaphors and such, and I just don't get them. Or that they actually make no sense.

I kind of agree on the lyrics; Hey Yo? But still... | We'll see how he manages live. Singing in a studio with software at your command and singing live are two completely different things. |

lowsound | I personally think the only song that has a good hook is Dani California.
