Anyone know what technique and kind of bass Les uses on..

Welcome to this world? Anyone know what kinda bass that is? That heavy sound, cos im not sure if rest is guitar or bass tracks on each other. and what technique?

Claypool? He uses Carl Thompson basses which are about as rare as Ritters in the boutique line of basses. When it comes to his technique. It's not incredibly hard to recreate but his tone comes from a host of digital and analog processors, EQs, and effects. He's one of those guys that when he is playing a relatively normal song he is still probably using no less than 5 elements in a signal chain.
