I think a lot of things I have heard Jack White - White Stripes - play on guitar are very much influenced by Jimmy Page - and in some cases complete copies!

There is a highly-regarded Jazz group in Britain called Acoustic Ladyland who started off doing Jazz version of Hendrix - but are now on to Led Zep!

They aren't a new band by any means, but have you heard the band Leaf Hound? Their album "Growers of Mushrooms" sounds like the first few Zep albums. But certainly not without it's own original charms.

I just found out they put out a new album... seems decent... Growers of Mushrooms is much better though. They kind of got a popularity boost with the rise of the "stoner rock" scene. You could probably also cruise around www.stonerrock.com in the MP3 jukebox and find plenty of bands with a super obvious Zep influence.

The Carney band led by Reeve Carney. Almost like what it would have sounded like if Terry Reid did take the gig as the singer in Led Zeppelin. Check out their song 'Testify' if you can.

I don't know if this is true, but people always say that australia's wolfmother is the second coming of led zeppelin

having said that, it's very enjoyable, good music

they have 3-4 singles, all with videos on youtube, check them out

I don't play Zep stuff or even listen a lot to them anymore but they remain a constant source of inspiration.

Musically I believe the Mars Volta is a lot like Zeppelin almost like a modern Led Zeppelin.

I actually dislike that song as well as the whole Frances the Mute album...

listen to Deloused in the Comatorioum or The Bedlam in Goliath... I really hear a modern Led Zeppelin.

Personally I don't listen to much Zeppelin anymore, not that I don't like them I just haven't found myself in that mood for awhile. Classic rock like Zeppelin and Sabbath has just not been in my mood for a long while. But when I was in my band (before it split due to issues) we played a few Zeppelin covers. I still like and appreciate Zeppelin, I just haven't been much into the classic 70s rock genre lately. Even though Rush is still technically classic rock, to me it's quite a bit different. I haven't listened to much of their Zeppelin-esque stuff (first album or two) either, though I still think it's quite different from Zeppelin.
