Anyone See "Before the Blizzard"

...The documentary on Ozzy's first two solo albums, Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman.

Not a single word about Bob Daisly who at least co-wrote and helped produce those albums (and several more after). You don't hear Ozzy mention how any of those songs were written.

Oz and Sharon should be water boarded into admitting Daisly's and Kerslake's contributions to those albums.

I can't wait for Bob's book to come out later this year!

The scenes of Ozzy at the board seemed like a parody of the "Classic Albums" films. He looked completely clueless during most of the playbacks. It was more of an appreciation of Randy than a critical discussion of the albums, with Vai and Zakk Wylde offering the most insight. The rest of the band was disposable, as no mention was made of Aldridge and Sarzo, (the touring rhythm section) either, although Rudy did get the most face time of any other player (whacking his Sabre during "Crazy Train"). Ozzy must have been a real nasty drunk if Nikki Sixx said that he was scared of Ozzy when he drank! No wonder Ozzy hardly remembers anything. Doesn't diminish my appreciation of the albums in anyway, would have been nice to get the input from Daisley, though.

Yeah, they didn't mention Daisley, but at least they had Nikki Sixx there to break it down for us. Very enlightening analysis.

I wonder if they "reinstated" the Daisley/Kerslake rhythm section on the reissue.

Well, the ad said it was from "the original masters", so hopefully it is the original originals and not the remixed.

Yes, the reissues reportedly have the original bass/drum tracks. Removing them from the albums has to be one of the all time s***bag manuevers in the history of the music business. Trujillo and Borden are also d-bags for even doing it, in my book.
