And if people are telling you you solo like a guitarist that means they're noticing you so keep improving your style. Youtube has you next to live Jaco solo performances under "related videos" so you must be doing something right! |

Good playing though, reminds me of porn from the early 90s

You can of course use vibrato on the root - bending it slightly up and down in a fairly fast motion, thas very blueslike |

There are some rough edges but then there are plenty of those in my playing and that can be removed by practice. I like what you do as it has melody not just a series of excercises stuck together. If others have a problem with the way you play then that is their problem. Have confidence in your own playing cause you have lots going for you. Keep up the practice. |

| | | | dont bend a note unless its going to be bent to intonation
when you speed up your solo make sure you are still playing in time
make sure any trickier parts are under control before you try them at full speed |

Practice with a metronome at a slower speed to for timing and control. There are several tempo control programs available that you might want to try.
Adding a compressor will get you more sustain.
Certain parts had a longer break than others. Try connecting the various parts of your solo with some more notes. Running your hand up or down the neck kinda breaks up the smooth, melodic sound you were working on.
IMHO, of course. |

The main question is, are you happy with your skill and how they're developing? If so, you've got nothing to worry about because that was some nicely melodic playing. Some people have brought up some constructive criticism, so take it in stride and work into your practice and eventually it'll find it's way to your playing.
Nice job! |
